The Minister mentioned a number of important issues relating to mining, quarrying and construction in his address. Of note was that mineral exploration is very active in Ireland, and that is helped by Ireland’s very high global rating as an attractive location for Mining Investment and Policy Perception. The Minister also noted the continued success of Tara Mines and the continued government support of the TELLUS and iCrag programmes.

TOBIN was well represented on the night by Carol Sanderson, Executive Secretary of the IMQS & Siobhan Tinnelly, IMQS Past President, who were both guests at the President’s table.
