Taryn KeaneSenior Structural Enginner - Building and Infrastructure

    Taryn is a Chartered Structural Engineer with nearly 15 years of experience in the Building and Infrastructure sector, working across Ireland and South Africa. Her expertise includes concrete and steel structures, façade engineering, project management, and mentoring.

    Throughout her career, Taryn has contributed to a diverse range of developments, including commercial offices, apartment complexes, residential homes, civic buildings, and multi-storey structures. She has played a pivotal role in delivering landmark projects such as the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC East), 35 Lower Long, and the National Children’s Science Centre in Dublin—an ambitious civic initiative currently advancing toward tender.

    Taryn holds a BSc (Hons) in Structural Engineering from the University of Pretoria and graduated cum laude in both her National Diploma and BTech from Cape Peninsula University of Technology. She is passionate about sustainable design, mentoring emerging engineers, and promoting diversity within the profession. Her commitment to outreach and education includes participating in Engineers Ireland’s STEPS initiative and contributing to an in-house CPD talk on structural durability and historic building restoration at her previous firm.

    She recently joined TOBIN as a Senior Structural Engineer in the Dublin office and is excited to bring her experience and energy to the team.
