This proposed development is located on 42-acres of a total 66-acre greenfield site at Knocknamona/Carnamoggagh, Letterkenny and comprises of the construction of a Regional Sports Activity Hub. The development also consists of a number of outdoor pitches including 1 artificial grass GAA pitch, 1 Grass / Sand GAA competition pitch, 2 natural grass soccer pitches with Cricket Creases and 4 synthetic 5-a-side soccer pitches. It also consists of the construction of an 1,000m² Indoor Sports Dome suitable for warm up, a range of sports and activities including an additional sports and recreation area with PV panels.
Included in the development will be a 1,340m² pavilion building to accommodate changing facilities, office / reception, self-serve catering facility, storage and flexible space for community programmes.
