Sport Ireland National Indoor Arena (Phase 2)

The National Indoor Arena houses three indoor arenas, each one as impressive as the next. The arena has a signature structure that ranges in height from 12 to 17 metres over three levels. Phase 2 of the National Indoor Arena provides permanent indoor facilities for Ireland’s three leading field sports, namely, Gaelic Games, Soccer and Rugby.

In order to meet with the specific and individual requirements of these sporting disciplines, Phase 2 included the construction of an indoor pitch for Gaelic Games and Soccer (that can also accommodate a number of other sports) and a half-sized indoor Rugby pitch.

Phase 2 also provides the ancillary facilities required for this development including changing and player rooms, offices, and meeting rooms. Also included in the works was an Elite Fitness and Conditioning Centre and a new pavilion building with a reception area, changing rooms, lockers, and shower facilities. This fully accessible, multi-sport and multi-purpose arena is the newest of its kind in Europe. Built to the highest world-class standards and specifications, it will ensure that Ireland has the best facility for indoor sport and events, which can be used by Irish sporting bodies, high-performance athletes, and the general public.
