TOBIN’s Health, Safety, and Technical Advisory Division (HSTA); note that the current works on the historic building being carried out by the Contractor OHMG; include Structural Steel Infill Works, Sash Window Glazing, Conservation Brickwork and Roof Lead defect repairs.
The building has been at the centre of the local community since its construction in 1912 and is now poised to take a new role into a multifunctional community facility, complete with gardens, educational spaces, a café, and community hall, a crèche, a radio station, Dublin City Council offices and an enterprise incubation hub. The comprehensive restoration and modernisation of the building, spans over approximately 2,887m². The existing building has impressive, striking symmetry and rare with four formally treated facades.
Our role as PSDP/Safety consultants, includes coordinating challenging temporary works respecting the age, condition, and layout of the historic fabric of this impressive 115-year-old building. We are proud to provide our services to our client MGNE Architects and Dublin City Council and look forward to the completion of this impressive project.
