TOBIN Consulting Engineers were appointed by Galway County Council for the construction of a new Fire Station in Carraroe, Co. Galway. The works involved the fit-out of an existing warehouse for fire service purposes with associated site works. Works to the building comprised of widening and installing a new beam to an existing opening within a warehouse, widening and replacing the existing roller door to the front of the warehouse, demolition of existing walls and construction of a new Muster Bay area, store, office, toilets/shower room, drying room and staff room. Groundworks included the connection of new drainage to existing foul services.
