This Project included a 50 MW solar farm and 50 MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) on an area of approximately 112 hectares. It also included a new onsite 110kV substation.
This Project was distinctive as it involved several landowners, the need for multiple site entrances, nine archaeological monuments were present on site, three rivers flowed through the site connecting to European sites, the presence of flooding concerns, and invasive flora.
TOBIN prepared the Public Notices, Planning Application form, Planning Drawings, Planning and Environmental Considerations Report, standalone reports including the Construction Environmental Management Plan and an Invasive Species Management Plan, the Appropriate Assessment Screening and Natura Impact Statement.
TOBIN secured a 10-year planning permission for this project with an operational period of 40 years.
