TOBIN Consulting Engineers acted as Lead Consultant on this project which involved the development of a new Respite Home and Day Care facility in Claregalway, Co. Galway which includes associated offices and all associated site works.
The development consisted of the provision of a 337m² Respite Home to cater for persons with special needs and a night nurse, a 734m² Day Care facility with ancillary offices, site development works as approved in the planning grant consisting of access roads, carparks, paving, site drainage and utilities, along with landscaping works, street lighting, and associated site services.
TOBIN, in our role as Lead Consultant of the single point integrated design team, is responsible for the development of the approved design within planning and budget limits, the procurement of a suitable contractor to deliver the works, and the administration of the contract to handover and completion of the defects liability period. TOBIN considered the relevant principals of prevention and safety considerations in all aspects of the design with particular emphasis on the early incorporation of these measures. The services were delivered in accordance with the Capital Works Management Framework Guidelines.
