TOBIN Consulting Engineers were appointed by Louth County Council to undertake the Detailed Design and preparation of Tender documents for the proposed N52 Ardee Bypass. The proposed bypass commences in the townland of Mandistown in Co. Meath before crossing the River Dee into Co. Louth and bypassing Ardee Town to tie in with the N2 to the north of Ardee.

The proposed N52 Ardee Bypass scheme is approximately 4.5km in length, providing a western bypass of the town and removing N52 through traffic from the congested High Street. The proposed scheme will be a Type 2 Single Carriageway and comprise six road junctions, including a proposed roundabout on the N2, two river bridge structures (River Dee and Garra River) and one cattle underpass.
