Over the past 10 years, TOBIN has acted as Lead Consultant to Connacht Rugby over a number of redevelopment projects across 5 different phases including:
•New Floodlight for main pitch and training area
•Clan Stand and Grant Thornton Stands
•Terrace Construction works and ancillary site development works
•Feasibility Report for redevelopment
•€34m – Redevelopment of Sportsgrounds from planning application to detailed design stage.
The new redevelopment project, which is currently ongoing, will include a new 12,000-person spectator stadium with two stands on either side of the ground and terracing behind each goal. The facility will provide new corporate hospitality areas, conference rooms, sports dressing rooms and a new high-performance training centre. The High-Performance Centre will include a full-size enclosed Rugby Training Pitch, treatment rooms, a strength and conditioning facility, together with administration and office space. The redevelopment works will provide the facility with a High- Performance all-weather surface main pitch, designed to World Rugby Standards.
