About the Role:
TOBIN is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior PSDP to join our expanding HSTA Division. This is a key technical and leadership position, responsible for ensuring safe design coordination and supporting the delivery of high‑quality, compliant projects across a varied portfolio.
You will work closely with designers, contractors, and clients, ensuring that safety is embedded into every stage of project planning and design. This role offers excellent career development potential within a dynamic, multi‑disciplinary consultancy.
Core Requirements:
- Level 8 Honours Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a construction‑related discipline
- Qualified PSDP under the Safety, Health & Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013, or willingness to work toward qualification
- 5–7 years’ relevant experience in the health and safety sector, with strong PSDP exposure
Key Responsibilities:
Design Safety Coordination:
- Act as TOBIN’s designated PSDP across multiple projects
- Review design documentation and designer risk assessments for compliance
- Provide expert design‑stage safety advice to project teams and stakeholders
- Develop and maintain Safety in Design Strategy documents
Project Safety Oversight:
- Manage and review RAMS and maintain a project RAMS register
- Assess contractor safety documentation and monitor performance
- Conduct site safety audits and inspections
- Liaise closely with PSCS representatives throughout project delivery
Policy & Compliance:
- Support the development, review, and improvement of Health & Safety policies and procedures
- Ensure all systems, documentation, and records are compliant, accurate, and up to date
- Keep informed on regulatory changes, best practices, and relevant industry developments
Technical Leadership:
- Provide technical input for design safety coordination across office and project teams
- Review technical documents for compliance with legislative and safety standards
- Commercial oversight of PSDP projects, including scope, quality, and resource planning
- Build strong working relationships with clients, designers, contractors, and stakeholders
