Role Overview
We are seeking a Civil Technician with strong expertise in Civil 3D to join our Civil Team. The successful candidate will play a key role in producing high-quality design models and drawings for civil engineering projects, supporting engineers and project managers in delivering exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and manage Civil 3D models for commercial developments, residential schemes, sports facilities etc.
· Topographical surveying using calibrated instruments such as GPS units and Total Stations.
· Prepare detailed construction drawings, layouts, and design documentation.
· Assist engineers/technicians with detailing and sketching.
· Detailed design and drafting for civil engineering projects.
· Maintain drawing standards and contribute to continuous improvement of workflows
· Take instruction from their Line Manager (and where appropriate the relevant Project Manager and senior members of the project teams).
Requirements
· Minimum 3 years’ experience in a civil technician role within an engineering consultancy or similar environment.
· Proficiency in Civil 3D (essential).
· Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and construction processes.
· Experience with AutoCAD, and familiarity with BIM workflows is an advantage.
· Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
· Strong communication and teamwork skills.
