TOBIN were appointed by Galway City Council to deliver a comprehensive upgrade to an existing public park, which included both new and enhanced sports facilities. The project encompassed the construction of a modern sports facility featuring a fenced 200m, 5-lane synthetic running track, encircled by a 2.0m wide grass running track. A 35m x 50m grass training area was developed within the track for multi-sport use. Additionally, six pieces of adult exercise equipment were installed in an accessible location outside the fenced track.
Other key components of the project included upgrades to the grassed sports field, enhanced drainage systems, floodlighting installation, landscape planning and works, civil works, and reinstatement of the park areas impacted by the construction.
