This project comprised of the replacement of the existing athletic track surface with a Class 2 IAAF Prefabricated Running Track including new double long jump and triple jump facilities, hammer and discus throwing facilities, indoor sprint track, pole vault facilities and all associated site infrastructure including fencing, drainage and ducting.
The new synthetic track is an eight-lane 400m standard oval track with two integrated 100m straights laid out in accordance with the current WA Track and Field Facilities Manual.
