The Project involved the refurbishment and fit-out of circa 500 sqm are of the existing warehouse to accommodate the Marine Research Institute (MRI).
Works on the building comprised creating 2 No. roller doors and 2 No. personnel access doors to the west face of the building, demolishing of internal walls to the west side of the existing warehouse and construction of new office, toilet, biological fieldwork store, EOS fieldwork store, fresh water ecology store, seaweed store, plankton store, benthic store and EOS/zoology Workshops. Groundworks included providing a ramp to provide access to new roller doors and the connection of new drainage to existing foul services.
