TOBIN were appointed to provide Civil & Structural and Traffic Design Services for a Planning Application for a 156,000 sqm Office Development over seven levels at West Gate, Western Distributor Road, Knocknacarra, Galway.
Input from TOBIN was required for all stages of the planning application process and also included liaison with Irish Water and local authority engineers.
The Civil and Structural scope included the civil engineering design of the watermains, foul sewers, surface water sewers SUDs and surface water attenuation system, and soakaway systems, including the preparation of a full set of planning drawings for civil works.
A Road Safety Audit on the internal roads and provision of internal roads drawings to include sightlines and auto tracking was also carried out in addition to a Traffic Impact Assessment.
