Cavan County Council made an application to An Bord Pleanála for a proposed amenity development at Castlesaunderson Demesne, Belturbet, County Cavan. Castlesaunderson Demesne has enormous historical and geographical significance and has a long history of conflict and recreation. The development proposed comprises walking trails, a floating mooring on the River Finn, welfare facilities and a playground on the estate grounds. Castlesaunderson will become an important hub along the Ulster Canal Greenway which is currently under development.
TOBIN provided support to Cavan County Council in the preparation of:
- Proposed works layout drawings for the walking trails, playground, welfare facilities and proposed mooring;
- Ecological Impact Assessment;
- Natura Impact Statement; and
- Outline Construction Management Plan.
