Turning the Sod at Ballintubber Abbey

A significant milestone was marked at Ballintubber Abbey Trust as Minister Dara Calleary officially turned the sod on the redevelopment of the Ballintubber Abbey Culture and Heritage Visitor Centre.

TOBIN’s Brendan Heaney (Technical Director) and Emma Connolly (Design Engineer) were delighted to attend the event, which signals the beginning of works to restore the east wing of the 800-year-old Abbey and deliver a new three-storey visitor and heritage attraction.

TOBIN is proud to provide civil and structural engineering services on this landmark project, which will enhance tourism and celebrate the rich heritage of Ballintubber, while ensuring the continued protection and conservation of this historic site for future generations.
