Pat is a Chartered Civil Engineer and Fellow member of Engineers Ireland. He currently holds the position of Technical Director in our Roads and Transportation Division having joined TOBIN in November 2004. Pat Graduated with a first class honours degree in Civil Engineering (1997), an Master in Science by research (1999) from Atlantic Technical University (formerly IT Sligo) and an Irish Management Institute /University College Cork accredited Diploma in Management (2017). He has over 20 years of experience in the design and construction of large infrastructural projects encompassing roads, large utilities and water services projects. One of Pat’s most notable projects was representing TOBIN in the role as Employers’ Representative for Uisce Eireann working on the watermain rehabilitation through the heart of Swords, Co. Dublin. This project won the 2020 ACEI ‘Project Management’ Project of the Year Award.
Outside of work, Pat follows Connacht rugby “20:10 in 2016” and is proud of TOBIN’s role in the development of the new Dexcom Stadium, Galway Football (waiting patiently for the double-digit all-Ireland win), Hurling “Muintir Na Gaillimhe” and the Irish Soccer Team heavily influenced by the nostalgia of Euro ‘88 and Italia ‘90 Ole Ole.
