Melissa is studying Wildlife Biology in Munster Technological University. During her studies she has performed a range of field and desk work. Her field work experience ranges from freshwater surveys, bat and bird surveys, vegetation and general site surveys in a variety of environments such as bogs, coasts and uplands.
She has a variety of practical skills, such as camera trapping, small mammal trapping and kick sampling. Melissa also has experience with geographical software like QGIS and statistical analysis software such as SPSS. She has also performed air, water and soil environmental testing in laboratory settings.
Melissa’s desk work experience ranges from environmental report writing, scientific research, habitat mapping and habitat scoping.
In Melissa’s free time she enjoys surfing, weight lifting, hiking and art.
