Maurice Buckley is a recent former President of Engineers Ireland (2020/21), with extensive leadership experience across business, technology, and public administration. As head of the Office of Public Works (OPW), he led the sustainable development and management of public infrastructure including modern and historic buildings, parks, and gardens, technical and security installations, along with flood risk management in adapting to climate change.

He has chaired and served on many boards and committees over his career. With a background spanning start-ups to multinationals, he helps organisations navigate complex governance and compliance environments while driving sustainable growth and competitiveness.
