Dr. Aristotelis Tegos holds the Flood and Dam Lead position in TOBIN’s Water & Utilities Division. Aris has 20 years of experience in the planning, detailed design, and project management of major civil engineering projects, mainly in flood management/alleviation schemes, dam design, drainage, civil engineering, and water services sectors. Aris holds a primary degree in Civil Engineering (2005), a Master’s Degree in Engineering Science (2007), and a PhD (2019), all from the School of Civil Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens. He is Fellow of Engineers of Ireland (CEng FIEI). He is active in the academic domain exploring and publishing state-of-art ideas in hydrology engineering, flood modelling, drought analysis, water/environmental issues, and analysis of catastrophic events. His published scientific work is highly cited, with hundreds of citations. He serves as an academic editor for the journal Hydrology and has delivered invited guest lectures at academic institutions in Ireland, Greece, and Canada.
Outside of work, Aris enjoys reading, music, and films, as well as playing the role of taxi driver for his kids—and occasionally pretending he is a talented basketball player.
