Adrian WalshProject Ecologist - Environment & Planning

    Adrian Walsh is a Project Ecologist in TOBIN’s Environmental and Planning section, with four year’s professional experience in ecological consultancy. He holds an honours BSc in Zoology from University of Galway and an MSc in Wildlife Conservation and Management from University of College Dublin.

    Adrian has experience undertaking a range of ecological field surveys, including terrestrial mammal surveys, habitat surveys, and bat surveys, however his primary area of expertise is ornithology. He has experience in ornithological impact assessment, contributing to bird survey and assessments for large-scale developments including wind farms, national road schemes, and agri-environment schemes. His work includes the design and delivery of ornithological surveys, interpretation of results, and the integration of ornithological data into environmental assessment and planning documentation.

    He is highly experienced in ecological report writing, having authored and contributed to Appropriate Assessment Screening Reports, Natura Impact Statements (NIS), Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIARs), Ecological Impact Assessments, and Biodiversity Management Plans.

    Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, swimming, and birdwatching.
