Jarek Majkusiak Represents TOBIN at 8th International Swift Conference

We were delighted to see Jarek Majkusiak, Ecologist/Ornithologist in our Environment & Planning division, represent TOBIN at the recent 8th International Swift Conference in Castlebar.

As a proud sponsor of the event, TOBIN was pleased to support a conference that brought together experts and enthusiasts dedicated to the conservation and study of swifts.

Jarek delivered two presentations during the conference. His first talk, “The History of the Common Swift Research Project at ATU Mayo,” provided an overview of the 14-year Common Swift research project and its key findings.

For his second presentation, Jarek was joined by James Daly to discuss “Population Recovery of the Common Swift in Killorglin, Co. Kerry.” Together, they shared the inspiring story of how the Kerry town transformed from being at risk of losing its swift population to becoming a thriving habitat for the species.

The conference was a great success, featuring insightful presentations, interesting discussions, and engaging Q&A sessions.

Well done to Jarek on his excellent presentations – we look forward to hearing them when he presents them to the TOBIN team.
