Great to see the University of Galway Connacht GAA Air Dome reinflated following the damage caused by record-breaking winds during Storm Éowyn last year.
As the world’s largest sports Air Dome, the facility features a full-size GAA pitch, indoor running track, integrated performance testing facilities, 2,000- 5000 spectator capacity and conference capacity of 10,000 people, providing a unique high-performance environment for athletes and teams.
TOBIN are proud to have been involved in both the original development and the redevelopment of this landmark facility. The upgraded design incorporates a rapid deflation system, enabling the structure to be safely secured in advance of severe weather events and improving its long-term resilience.
