We are delighted to share that planning permission has been granted by An Coimisiún Pleanála for the Galway Harbour Extension/New Port of Galway project – a major milestone for Galway Harbour, the city, and the wider region.
This transformative development will deliver a modern deep-water port with expanded marine, cargo, and passenger facilities. It will support long-term economic growth while enabling the relocation of existing port operations from the inner harbour.
