Our Hydrogeology team recently took part in the annual IAH – International Association of Hydrogeologists Irish Group field trip, exploring the Urban Hydrogeology of Co. Cork.
Over two days, participants visited a range of sites across Cork City and county, gaining valuable insights into urban hydrogeology, groundwater flooding, geothermal boreholes and dewatering challenges.
Karina O’Donnell, Project Hydrogeologist in our Environment and Planning division, organised this year’s field trip in her role as Field Trip Secretary for the IAH Irish Group. It was Karina’s first time organising the event, and she did a fantastic job bringing everything together!
Thank you to everyone involved in organising and contributing to a great couple of days!
