Inis Cealtra Visitor Experience is open to the public!

We’re proud to share that the Inis Cealtra Visitor Experience at the Old Rectory, Mountshannon, is now complete and open to the public!

Developed by Clare County Council, this stunning new facility includes a modern exhibition space showcasing the rich heritage and stories of Inis Cealtra (Holy Island) and Mountshannon, a welcoming reception area, a first-floor café with panoramic views across Lough Derg, and beautifully landscaped gardens. Visitors can explore displays on Early Medieval pilgrimage, local traditions, the lives of former island inhabitants, and the island’s ongoing cultural significance.

TOBIN were delighted to fulfil the role of Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors on this exciting project in conjunction with Clare County Council, an excellent Design Team and M. Fitzgibbon Contractors Ltd.

This project is a true testament to the vision and collaboration between Clare County Council and the local community.
