We in TOBIN have adopted a strategy of internationalising our business, particularly in the United Kingdom, in Eastern Europe, and elsewhere, with our strategic partners. 

This commits us to pursuing opportunities abroad, but it also permits us to bring best overseas practice and experience into the services we offer at home.

In order to give us an experienced external perspective, and to challenge our vision and our assumptions, we have established an Advisory Council to our Board.

The members of our Council are:-

Mr. Jeremy Pelczer

Mr. Jeremy D. Pelczer is the Managing Director at Landara Ltd. Previously, he served as the Chief Executive Officer at RWE Thames Water PLC from September 8, 2005 to its sale in December 2006. Prior to that, he served as its Chief Operating Officer from July 2001, then as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer, supporting the drive of the water business to higher standards of customer service and operational performance, as well as playing a key role in developing its international business. Mr. Pelczer served as the President and Director at American Water Works Company, Inc. from September 1, 2003 and became a Chief Executive Officer and President there in February 2004 until December 2005. He is a Member of Advisory Board at WHEB Venture Partners LLP and is the Non Executive Chairman at the UK charity which supports the provision of clean water in developing countries, Wateraid. 

Mr. Tony Rachwal

Mr Tony Rachwal is an independent consultant providing advice on water and environmental innovation to industrial and government clients. He has worked for more than 35 years in the water sector, retiring as European R&D Director of the water utility RWE Thames Water in 2006.

His personal research and publications fields are in water, wastewater and desalination treatment technologies with a wider experience of managing utility and contract research in the UK and international water and environmental sector. Current roles include Industrial Business Fellow (Water) University Surrey (UK), Science Innovation & Strategy Board member for UK National Environment Research Council (NERC), and water industry representative on the joint UK DTI / Defra Environmental Innovation Advisory Group (EIAG), 2003-07.

Tony was chair of the EPSRC Water Infrastructure & Treatment Engineering (WITE) advisory panel 1997-2001 and served as UK representative on the American Water Works Association Research Foundation research advisory committee 1995-2001. He is a trustee of the Foundation for Water Research and a science advisor to the IWW, the institute for water research in Mulheim.

Mr. Paolo Pietrogrande

Mr. Paolo Pietrogrande is the President at Netplan Management Consulting. His past positions include Chief Executive Officer at 9REN, Chief Executive Officer at Enel Green Power, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director at Nuovi Cantieri Apuania, Business Development Director for Europe and Middle East at General Electric Power Systems, Senior Manager at Bain and Company, and Vice President of Marketing Eastern Division at Kinetics Technology International B.V., where he spent first nine years of his career as a Chemical Engineer designing and building refineries and petrochemical plants from its centers in Pasadena, Zoetemeer, and later Rome. Mr. Pietrogrande was employed at Atmos Holding SpA and was its Chairman. As a Senior Executive of the Enel Group, he actively participated in the IPO in 1999. Mr. Pietrogrande is a Director of Ryanair Limited since 2001, WHEB Biofuels Limited, Trinergy Ltd, and several companies of Enel, Eni, and Atmos Holdings. He is a Member of Advisory Board at WHEB Venture Partners LLP. Mr. Pietrogrande is a Non-Executive Director and Chairman of Audit Committee at Camco International Limited since 2009 and a Director and Member of Remuneration Committee at Ryanair Holdings plc. He was previously a Director, Member of Compensation Committee, and Member of Internal Control Committee at Ducati Motor Holding S.p.A.
